There are few cars with a long-term quality comparable to that of the Volvo 940. Especially if it is an early example, for example from 1990. In general, it can be said that many car manufacturers reached their peak of quality in the early 1990s. But Volvo went one better. Rust problems were minimal to non-existent in the early 940 models, the engines were robust and the technology was virtually indestructible. This is also the case with this model. The silver 940 GL is completely rust-free, unwelded and in its original paint. All kinds of fur noses and smokers always had to stay outside in this car. Those who were allowed to take a seat, however, were also lucky enough to test the heated seats ordered at the time. This model is powered by the well-known Red Block Volvo engine with a displacement of 2.3 liters. In combination with the 5-speed gearbox, this engine has driven just 150,000 km. We have all the documents relating to the history of this perfect entry-level vehicle into the classic car scene.
