Great condition from 2nd hand!
This Beetle was ordered by Mr. R. on 25.04.1972 at the Volkswagen Autohaus Eilbeck in Hamburg. In 1996, he had the vehicle extensively restored by VW Willy Tiedke. In the course of this, the Beetle was given a replacement engine, which had run 28,000 km at the time. In April 2022, the convertible changed hands to Mr. W. Both owners are well documented. All invoices, documents and vehicle records are available. Even the original vehicle invoice from 1972 and an appraisal with photos from 1996 are included. A rare 1302 model, which was only built for 2 years at that time, and from the modern driving already close to the 1303, but still has optically more something of the old models from the 60s. Small tail lights, straight windscreen, a bit more chrome, pure dashboard and some more. Practically at the same time as the changeover in the saloon, the 1302 LS model also replaced the 1500 in the cabriolet range. It was now equipped with the large 1,600 cc engine with 50 hp and the performance-enhancing dual-channel intake system.
Even then, the open-top version of the Beetle matured into a classic in automotive history. To this day, nothing has changed. And in the future, too, a Beetle will always remain a piece of automotive history.
