With V6 and few kilometres
With the Avantime, Renault showed courage to leave a gap. In 2001 Renault presented the Van - Coupe, but the enthusiasm was limited. The gap that Renault wanted to close was a bit too big and too special. The three doors and a basically sporty V6 would fit perfectly into the body shape of a coupe, but Renault integrated these characteristics into a very spacious van shape and thus created an unprecedented vehicle concept. The Avantime scored points above all for its technical refinements and lavish equipment. In addition to a large panoramic glass sunroof and a multitude of technical innovations, such as the doors that swing slightly forward when opened, this Avantime at least also offers a relatively sporty engine. A V6 petrol engine with 207 hp provides the propulsion. For a "van", this engine is still a real rarity today. Sporty driving dynamics, however, are not to be found, but it is perfectly adequate for a brisk straight-ahead acceleration on the motorway. In 2003, production was stopped after only 8500 vehicles. In the meantime, it is quite rare to see an Avantime, and even rarer to see one with only a few kilometres on the clock. With its special hybrid design concept, the Renault Avantime is well on its way to becoming a future youngtimer classic. This Avantime, painted in Noire Nocturne, was among others registered in an Avantime fan club and always at home with enthusiasts. The current owner is also a member of a fan club and has collected a lot of documents, accessories and all kinds of fan club documentation over the years. Also included is a rare cover with Avantime lettering. The car has recently had a timing belt change including a new water pump, before the car goes into new hands it will get a new service from us.
