Super 90 in fantastic condition!
In the autumn of 1959, the Porsche 356 B, considerably revised compared to its predecessor, came onto the market. Only a few months later, in spring 1960, a new engine was introduced: the Super 90 engine. From 1582 cubic centimetres, the four-cylinder boxer produced 90 hp at 5500 revolutions per minute and provided sporty acceleration by the standards of the time. This 356 B convinces by its optically as well as technically extremely good overall condition. The vehicle was registered for the first time in Germany on 04.03.1962 in Nuremberg at the Porsche Autohaus Krauss and came to France at some point. In 2018, the now restored vehicle was sold again to a customer in Germany by the renowned dealer Serge Heitz. In 2020, the Porsche received an appraisal at Porsche Classic confirming its authenticity and first delivery. The current owner acquired the Porsche in 2021 and had a fresh appraisal carried out. At the time of this Classic Data appraisal, the mileage showed 246 km. Thus, the vehicle has hardly been moved in the last 2-3 years. Currently, the Super 90 is excellent to drive and is in almost perfect condition.
After almost 60 years, the great-grandfather sports car appears just as shiny as on the first day it was delivered. The 90 hp and a top speed of 185 km/h were enough to dub the Super 90 a real sports car.
