Mini MPI Backdate!
This Mini was never available to buy. At first glance, you can recognise the classic Mini look from the 1960s. However, the technology from an MPI model from 2001 is hidden under the narrow bodywork. The Mini MPI has been converted back to the look of an older Mini model. The entire technology, including the engine, gearbox, axles and electronics, was taken from the MPI model. However, in order to convert the car to the look of the 60s, the following things were converted: 10" original Minilite aluminium rims with Cooper S brake discs and brake callipers (better brakes than on the normal MPI) with human suspension set-up, RC 40 Cooper S exhaust, MK I rear lights, front indicators with glass, dashboard with oval central tachometer area (MK I) with Cooper S 200 km/h speedometer, black dial, as well as 2 additional instruments, MK I radiator grille exterior lettering and chrome mirrors.
As part of the conversion, the technology from the base model was of course thoroughly restored and adapted to the GULF look. This includes the paintwork in a special colour and the Alcantara seats with GULF logo and nappa leather on the side panels. The seat rails have been adapted so that even people almost 2 metres tall can sit comfortably. The colours are also reflected in the steering wheel, where a 12 o'clock marking has been incorporated using Alcantara leather.
A unique one-off with a great racing look, very robust technology and a sporty 63 hp. The best of 2 Mini worlds.
