Series 2 - unique condition!
The car was bought new in 1973 by Mrs. Olimpia Masiero, who was born in April 1925, at the official Lancia dealer Tacchini Spa in Busto Arsizio, Varese. She had thus fulfilled a long dream and, together with her husband, had taken the Coupé out of the garage only at weekends or on special occasions. The coupe remained in the couple's possession until 1998. After the death of his wife, the husband Giovanni sold it in September 1998 to a family friend, Mr. Luigi Ferruccio Ferracin, who had always admired the car. However, Mr. Ferruccio Ferracin did not drive the coupe at all and parked the vehicle in a garage over the years, where it remained until 2012. In March 2012, he sold the Lancia to a Fiat collector from Castronno (northwest of Milan), who years earlier, through conversations with mutual acquaintances, became aware of the great coupe. The collector provided new tires, replaced some old mechanical parts and porous rubber bearings, and in 2014 had the exterior completely repainted in the original color. The interior looks as if the Lancia Sport Coupé has just come off the production line and we strongly assume that the mileage reading of 37,214 km could correspond to the actual total mileage.
We have here not only one of the most beautiful and still unrestored 1.3 S Coupés in our inventory, but also one with a verifiable past. The optical and technical condition sets the bar to comparable vehicles very high and we really look forward to your amazement when you stand in front of the vehicle. The 1.3 S Fulvia Coupé is generally a special piece of automotive history. This already starts with the engine. 1.298 cm³ and 90HP don't seem to be a guarantee for cruising through the city in fifth gear (which was only available at an extra charge with the Daimler at that time). But in this vehicle it is possible. Generally the Fulvia seems to defy all physics, because a top-heavy with front-wheel drive constructed and a driving-technically perfectly balanced car to build, could at that time only Lancia. The engine hangs incredibly at the gas and turns even far over the rev limit. As with all known 4-cylinder V-engines, a proper idle is hardly cleanly adjustable but from about 2,000 rpm it runs silky smooth and hisses pleasantly sporty when the throttle is pushed.
The car can be viewed at any time by appointment with us, so we can ensure that the car is in the most appropriate location.
