Restored condition!
Would you like to drive an exceptional off-road vehicle that attracts attention both in the city and off-road and never lets you down technically? Then this rebuilt GAZ-69 is just the thing for you.
The GAZ-69 was developed shortly after the end of the Second World War and went into series production in the Soviet Union in 1953. Over time, production was outsourced from GAZ to UAZ, but nothing changed technically. Only the lettering on the bonnet changed and, from 1957, the production site again. At the end of the production period, the 2.12-litre engine with 55 hp was replaced by a 2.4-litre engine with 65 hp. Over the years, there have been a number of different special versions of the UAZ-69 developed for the military, and this GAZ-69 from 1962, which is for sale on behalf of a customer, is the UAZ-69M variant, which means that this vehicle is a 2-door GAZ-69 with the more powerful 2.4-litre engine, which was manufactured at the Romanian ARO plant. This off-road vehicle was extensively restored in the early past and has not been driven much since. In the course of the restoration, the body was completely repainted in the typical olive colour and a new soft top was fitted.
The interior was also completely repainted in the vehicle colour and the seats and bench seats were covered with new brown artificial leather. In addition, all chassis components were renewed or refurbished and all wearing parts were replaced. The engine, 3-speed gearbox, gear reduction and four-wheel drive work perfectly and are perfect for driving in the wilderness. Additional instruments such as the water temperature display, oil pressure display and on-board voltage display are also fully functional. As the vehicle is being sold for a regular customer from Poland, the GAZ will of course be given a German registration with a new MOT by us. All in all, this almost 60-year-old off-road vehicle is like a new car, with indestructible technology that you can sit in and have fun in straight away.
