They still exist - time capsules that have been parked somewhere and only later rediscovered. It was also called "die tolle Kiste" in Germany and is one of the most successful models of the brand. This Fiat Panda 1.1 Young, was delivered on 13.6.2002, in Mönchengladbach to Mrs. U.. The service booklet is present. The car has Abarth rims, has been freshly serviced, has had a complete service and new MOT. The Fiat Panda is a small car from Fiat, whose first series was built from spring 1980 to autumn 2003 over four million times. It is thus one of the brand's most successful models.
The car, designed by Giorgio Giugiaro and characterized as a "household appliance on wheels," was notable for its angular, smooth-surfaced shape - even the window panes were flat. Because of the easy-to-produce body and the spartan interior - for example, the seats made of stretched tubular steel frames (first series and later base models) were reminiscent of camping furniture - the Panda could be produced at low cost and offered at a low price (in 2000 in Italy for about 5,000 euros).
With its minimalist, functionally oriented conception, the Panda stands in the tradition of Citroën 2CV and Renault 4. Like these, it was not only a "Volkswagen", but its ownership was considered by many, who did not value or rejected status symbols, as an expression of a non-conformist and consumption-critical attitude towards life. This was also emphasized by a very popular Panda advertising campaign in Germany ("Fiat Panda - die tolle Kiste," Leo Burnett agency), which focused on suitability for everyday use, economy and ecology.
