Description

This design icon from the 60s was first bought by Mr Giovanni Arcadipane, born in November 1904, at the official Fiat dealer Capizzi in Sicily. As was traditional in Italy at the time, the vehicle was an incredibly treasured part of the family and was continually maintained and lovingly cared for. Every drive was meticulously planned and - if possible - only performed in ideal weather. Mr Arcadipane passed away at the beginning of the 80s, and his wife Franca, born in September of 1914, could no longer stand the loneliness on Sicily and immediately moved to Legnano (north of Milan) into the house of her sons. She kept the Fiat 1300 until May of 1983, but only rarely ever drove it a few metres. In May of 1983 she sold the limousine to a neighbor in Milan, who was born in 1958. He in turn resumed moving the vehicle regularly and kept up maintenance at the Fiat garage “Autodezza di Colombo Luciano” in Milan. The owner of the garage, Mr Luca Giovambattista, born in December 1940 in a small town in Sicily (about 500 citizens) was immediately enraptured by the car’s great condition as well as the fact that it, too, hailed from Sicily, and tried obtaining the vehicle. At every available opportunity he sought out contact with the owner and tried purchasing the Fiat. Up until the year 1991, the owner remained adamant, but in July of 1991 finally gave in with a smile and sold it to the garage owner. Mr Giovambattista kept the vehicle until mid-2019.

Conclusion

Nowadays, the Fiat 1300 Milletrecento is one of the rarest vehicles on our streets, and this was already the case at the end of the 80s. At that point there were only about 500 exemplars registered in Germany. Our model, in this condition, is therefore not only a rare occurence but also a lucky find, and we are looking forward to your visit to view this vehicle.
