The Citroën CX is nowadays very rare on the roads. Good examples are hardly to be found and to find a used, original and rust-free example has now unfortunately become almost impossible. Therefore, I am particularly pleased to have found this exceptional specimen. This CX has an exceptional history. The Citroën was produced in France in 1987 and then sold to a passionate Citroën driver in Japan. Although left-hand traffic prevails in Japan, European cars were considered a status symbol there.

At that time, a Citroën CX GTI absolutely belonged to this segment. In the following 30 years, the car was regularly, but nevertheless very rarely moved, so that only scarcely 60,000 km came about. Despite this, the Citroën was regularly serviced and there are a number of service receipts from that time. In 2017, the family sold the Citroën and the car found its way to a renowned classic car dealer in England. There, German Citroën enthusiast Kurt H. spotted the car and bought it immediately, as he had not found a comparable model in Europe and he had been looking for a perfect CX for a long time. Once in Germany, the car was regularly maintained by the famous Citroën workshop Kufen in Essen.
